Autrey will join Book + Bottle and the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg for an evening exploring creativity as a catalyst for healing and how we might take the worst life has handed us and make of it something meaningful, generative, and new.

Chapter Seven of Rhythm of a Rebel was influenced in part by the MFA’s exhibition Never the Same Song, featuring artists Lizzi Bougatsos and Lonnie Holley, and its exploration of using what society overlooks or casts aside as material to rebuild, transform, and tell a new story.

The evening will bring together literature and visual art in a conversation around creativity, resilience, and personal transformation.
